Preserved to Pursue

Over the past two years that I've been in school, I've learned how important it is to maintain Christian fellowship. Probably the only reason I decided to meet with any Christians was my fear of not being preserved in the midst of this dark world. However healthy my fear, I begin to realize how sweet fellowship with other Christians really was. And now I have a new and deeper appreciation for 2 Timothy 2:22 "But flee youthful lusts, and pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart." At first, I was just fleeing, but now I know to pursue; not alone, but with those who call on His name. There has been nothing better than, when during the worst of my not-so-sanctified day, I go to the student center to meet with other girls who share the life of God with me. And we go through the word and pursue together, not just so we can brave the next class or the next test, but so that we can share in the fellowship that is God's life and is ours.
