A Life of Purpose
As college began a little over two years ago I was unsure where my life was headed. I was raised in a Christian home and often wondered if the Lord had some purpose for my life. It seemed as though no one had the answers and I was just letting life pass me by. Then I came into contact with Christian Students. Through the simple approach of reading the Bible and fellowshipping with other believers, slowly I began to touch and experience the Lord in my spirit. Without realizing it, my questions and confusion were replaced with peace and enjoyment. I realized that the Lord wants to have an intimate relationship with each one of His believers. As I began to understand and experience more of what the Bible reveals it became clear to me that God has a unique purpose. Romans 8:28 and 29 were extremely useful verses in helping me to see this: “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Because those whom He foreknew, He also predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son, That He might be the Firstborn among many brothers.” Hallelujah! We are being conformed to the image of Christ!
Looking back, I can see how drastically my life and my vision of the future have changed since I came into contact with Christian Students. Praise the Lord for His mercy in leading me to fellowship with other believers and for revealing Himself and His desires to me. Now I can look forward to a fulfilling life of experiencing, loving, enjoying, and expressing the marvelous Triune God “according to His purpose”!
